Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"New cafe in neighbourhood so definitely had to try. Loved their pastries and coffee. Was a tad bit disappointed looking at the plain froth on my cappuccino and not even a usual art on a cafe’s coffee. Visited on a Sunday morning and we got the table in 2 mins but when we went inside at the till it was all haphazard, no proper instructions of where to order, two different queues as everyone else was confused as well. Probably they need more staff! Definitely enticed with their giant croissants and would come back for brunch and that XXXL croissant. Suggestions: clear instructions of how to order and where to pay. Staff needs to be more organised. Barista needs to be a little artistic with coffees. Greet your new customers with a broad smile that makes a huge difference. We will be back with more people for sure!"
"Nice place, we sat outside. Service was good. Expensive place, ordered a mocha and eggs Royale..Royale was tasty and well cooked with salad added, however I Found the mocha quite watery and not upto standard of other restaurants. mochas. The gentleman and lady serving us were attentive and had a smile which is always good."
"So delish. Always busy but was happy to get a spot today. Had selections of 5 pastries all was amazing. Quick and supper friendly service. Will def come again for a breakfast."
"Went during a Sunday afternoon The espresso was not the hottest and was barely warm by the time it came to me. I asked for another and it was the same - so not sure if there’s something wrong with the temperature of the machine. The waiters and waitresses were extremely lovely and were very attentive. It was very difficult to have a conversation here as due to the low ceiling it was very loud as it was very busy. The avocado on toast was lovely and the avocado wears seasoned well and very fresh. Would recommend. I ordered the Philippe Conticini omelette. It seems that the egg part may have been prepared before hand as the egg itself was quite dry and you could tell it was prepared beforehand. The mushrooms were alright but could have been sliced to have a thinner texture. I also had a peanut allergy and the waiters did not ask if I had any allergies or not. Overall was alright but love to try the pastries next time"
"I’ve eaten here SO many times! I absolutely love this venue; the staff are friendly and attentive, the decor is beautiful (there is an option to eat outside which is lovely in the Spring sun) and the atmosphere is chilled. The food and coffee however is incredible! I’ve had lunch here and several pastries and am never disappointed. I truly believe its presence in Finchley/Woodside Park has elevated the area! Can’t wait to keep on going and bring my friends!"
"Was greeted with a smile and a good morning by the very charming staff and placed my order. The pain au chocolat was gorgeous and flaky, obviously very fresh. The Earl Grey tea was perfect. Must come here more frequently."
"Lovely place, very popular. All tables full, speedy service. The smoothies were delicious!"
"Spent a couple of hours here with a friend on winters afternoon. Menu had plenty of choice, service was speedy and helpful. Food tasty and well presented."
